SDg Bearing Housings

They are extremely reliable for heavy load application. They are widely used in mining  industries, cement industries, rolling mill, crusher application and similar heavy-duty applications.

SDG housings are split plummer block, having cover on one end side. They are suitable for spherical roller bearing. The bearing can be mounted on adapter sleeve or directly on the shaft. The housings can be supplied with end cover for closed shaft application as well as through shaft. SDG housings are available for locating and non-locating bearing arrangement.

The cover is inserted in grove provided at end of the housing bore. However, for large bearing housings the cover can be bolted to the side face of the housings, such requirements must be specified while ordering. The housings feet (i.e. foundation) have machined pads at two sides so that housings can be mounted against stops and properly located after alignment. The housings can be used for located and non-located bearing arrangement as well as “cross-located bearing” (two bearings each locating shaft in one direction only, the directions being opposite).
