Cast Steel solutions

When a leading French distributor sent us a very old set of drawings showing an old Bearing Housing with an angled part line, we got to work and created a new design.

Known as the “Allibost” type of housing, the customer was using the SKF bearing: 23048CC with a shaft dia of 240mm.

Within hours, we produced a design showing a Cast Steel solution with an angled part-line of 30 degrees.

Including intricate oil recesses and space to accommodate a Thrust Bearing, the forward thinking design resulted in an order for 4 off units to also include the Through & Blank End Covers.
